FOLLOW THE STAR: A 4-WEEK SERIES ON CHRISTMAS
WEEK 1 BIG IDEA: God gives direction to guide us.

SERIES OVERVIEW:

It’s the time of year when Christmas decorations begin to fill our homes. From the twinkling lights, to the sparkling stars, to the glittering snow, there is light all around us! The very first Christmas didn’t have Christmas trees or ornaments, but it did have something special: light! Just like a star in the sky led the wise men to Jesus on the very first Christmas, today our Christmas lights remind us to continue looking toward Jesus, the One we celebrate each Christmas. In this 4-week Christmas series, kids will discover the many ways God gets our attention and guides us toward Him: through His directionthrough other peoplethrough our Savior, and through the hope Jesus has given us.

Having a heart filled with gratitude starts with choosing to being thankful each day. When we serve, we can look for things that go wrong or aren’t how we want them, or we can choose to focus on the people and things we’re grateful for. Look for give people or things you’re thankful for, and let someone know.

If you’re subscribed to Grow Your Ministry, now would be a good time to attach Volunteer Tip Video #11 from your Volunteer section.

At least once this month, choose a volunteer to celebrate. Add their picture and a few sentences about what makes them awesome!

Here’s a question for you. What’s on your Christmas list this year? Reply to this email and let us know!
