THANKS!: A 4-WEEK SERIES ON THE WILDERNESS
WEEK 1 BIG IDEA: We can thank God for providing for us.

SERIES OVERVIEW:

“Thank you.” It’s one of the first phrases most of us learn to say, but it’s also one of the most difficult things to say and really mean! That’s true for us today, but it was true for God’s people in the Old Testament too. After they escaped the land of Egypt, the Israelites spent forty years wandering through the wilderness on their way to the promised land. While they wandered, they struggled to remember all of the ways God had provided for them (kind of like we still do today). In this 4-week series, kids will discover that we can thank God for so much — for providing for usfor being Godfor giving us wisdom, and for never giving up on us.

Having a heart filled with gratitude starts with choosing to being thankful each day. When we serve, we can look for things that go wrong or aren’t how we want them, or we can choose to focus on the people and things we’re grateful for. Look for give people or things you’re thankful for, and let someone know.

If you’re subscribed to Grow Your Ministry, now would be a good time to attach Volunteer Tip Video #10 from your Volunteer section.

At least once this month, choose a volunteer to celebrate. Add their picture and a few sentences about what makes them awesome!

We’re always trying to better understand what it’s like to parent these days. So whether you’re a parent of not, here’s what we’re wondering: what do you think is the BEST thing about parenting kids right now? Reply to this email and let us know!
